This Monday May 21st @ the Earl, amazing things will be happening. For example:: instrumental, groovy, funky, rockin’ jams from El Paso’s Zechs Marquise, homegrown awesomeness from Isness, and cant forget about the O-D-I-S-T.
ODIST opens at 9:30 so get there early, this show will blow minds! This line-up is sick, I’m a happy gal 🙂
While listening to the “Trainspotting” soundtrack today, I came across a Blur song that I really enjoyed. Then I found that they had an earlier version of the same song floating around on youtube. SWEET.
The first vid is a 1989 version of the Blur track ‘Sing’, back when they were known as Seymour. I like how they both have very different feelings/emotion; the older version is a little rougher around the edges and rockin, while the newer version is spacey-pop. Either way, Damon Albarn is a genius in my book, man I would love to work with him. BLUR RULES.
My first interview with a magazine, woo hoo! I had an amazing interview with Indie Music Reviewer Mag back in March. They selected me as one of the twenty-five “women of indie”. What nice guys. They even got me to do a drum solo as part of my interview:
Make sure to go to the Indie Music Reviewer Festival April 27th and 28th (Jack of Hearts play on the 27th @ 8pm, ODIST on the 28th at 6pm).
playing in the street = incredible energy
